A different kind of therapy
Taleforge uses tabletop roleplaying games in a therapeutic setting to build confidence, improve social skills and empower its players.
Who is it for?
Taleforge caters specifically to clients (10+) for whom other therapies have not worked. We don’t focus on diagnoses or setting goals. Instead we provide space for our players to work through their challenges in a fun and interactive way.
Of course, it helps if our players have an interest in tabletop gaming, but it is not required. The tabletop roleplaying setting can be tuned to specific interests and preferences, meaning there is a game for everyone.

Taleforge can be included in EHCPs, EOTAS packages, funded via schools, local authorities or self funded.
When, how, what and where:
Currently we only offer Dungeons and Dragons and Hero Kids, but we have big plans to include other TTRPGs!
Sessions only take place on Tuesdays whilst we grow Taleforge. Further days will be available in January 2025. We can offer both online and in person games. Online games are a great place to build confidence and meet other players. By starting with online sessions you will get to know your group and GM, so meeting in person will be less daunting than if we were all strangers! There’s no limit to how many online games you can book on to, but our ultimate goal is to meet in person for the full benefits of therapeutic table top games.
Session times:
10am - 1:30pm
or
2pm - 5:30pm
This includes 3 hours of gaming time, with a 30 minute break for refreshments (and if the DM needs to come up with something on the fly!). Prices vary between online and in person in order to cover the cost of room hire and physical miniatures, props, maps etc.
